There are multiple reasons why a company
needs to define its boundaries of control, manage changes within the workforce
and identify the personnel security functions based on the risks. First of all,
it will have to understand the market trends and come up with the expectations
of the customers. Secondly, the organization needs to emphasize the quality and
meet the deadlines. From the employees’ perspective, any organizational change
can impact their personal lives as well as their overall performance. The chance
is that they will start giving their best if the company defines its boundaries
and manages changes within the workforce. I feel that the employees need to be
motivated and urged to give their best as it will not only please the customers
but also help the company skyrocket its sales (Figl & Strembeck, 2014).
First of all, the Human Resources Department
should make potential candidates know that it is not going to be easy to
survive in the organization since the competition among employees is very high.
Secondly, it needs to make the vision, objectives, and goals of the company
clear. Last but not the least, they should bring in candidates with all
backgrounds, experiences, and qualifications so that diversity can be created
in the workplace. I feel that the Human Resources Department can hire the best
and most proficient candidates only when they make the vision and objectives
clear. It is their responsibility to bring the company policies to all
employees’ notice. If a newcomer does not know anything about the mission and
plans of the company, he may not be able to give his best and will soon be
pushed behind the competition by his own seniors (Figl & Strembeck, 2014).
