Well, the truth is that whether you live in Africa, America, or another part of the world, the appearance of the head lice is just because of the hair texture. Those who have soft, silky, smooth, oily, and long hairs have bright chances to get lice. Not only this but also anyone with curly hairs, whether a school boy or girl or someone in the business sector, would get lice if they do not take care of their hairs properly.
Hair types of African Americans
It is to be noticed that the African Americans usually have smooth and curly hairs. Not only the youngsters, but also the kids, adults, and even the old-age people can get the head lice. Because of their highly curly hairs that are tough to brush through, they might develop the lesser number of lice but this does not mean they can have nothing in their hairs. So, do the black persons of Africa America get lice, and should the people of these countries get their hairs checked?
Well, to tell you honestly they should. One of the most common solutions to this issue is that we know the nature of our hairs.
People of which areas get lice rarely
The black individuals of Africa, Canada, Britain, America, Afro-Asia, Afro-Latino and other parts of the world get lice rarely. According to the surveys of 1986, almost 0.3 % of African American kids of the schools develop lice in their hairs. On the other hand, nearly 11 % of Caucasian boys and girls that go to school have high chances to suffer from lice. These studies have made it clear that the possibility of the lice to appear in African American individuals is less but this does not mean they could have nothing from scratch.
The reality is that the lice possess their own habits and characteristics. It seems that they love the hairs of Caucasian kids, men and women more than the hairs of African American people. Another explanation is that the lice originated in the USA and affected the white migrants in large number for the first time. the hairs of white people are structurally and functionally different from that of the hairs of black individuals. The white persons usually have hairs with rounded profiles, whereas the African American black persons have hairs with the oval patterns. African Americans or simply the African communities in any part of the world actually get lice. It is possible for them to suffer from these hair insects but in lesser number and that’s just because of the unusual and strange structure of their hairs.
