The
businessmen treat ethics like
a sermon on the mount. It is always interesting
to consider how ethics and morals reflect the smartness of an organization (Newbold, 2015). Here,
I’ve discussed how ethical principles
can address Apple Inc. issues
organizational issues.
Respect
Respect
The company needs to develop
respect within its employees because substantial respect is the only
way with which its workers
can perform efficiently. They
always need coaching, training, and direction,
but respect and trust should be the keys to avoiding
micro-managing (Newbold, 2015).
Honor
Honor
Significant
workforce acts like the key to success. Apple
Inc. should focus should be on strong
performers and individuals who exemplify
the spirit of the company.
Integrity
Integrity
The management of the company has to make sure that they’re
avoiding unwise steps. Hiring
or retaining of candidates should be on the basis of skills. All the employees, customers,
and vendors need to maintain mutual
trust (Nesbit, 2011).
Customer Focus
Customer Focus
One should remember that a company
without customers cannot exist
for long. For
Apple Inc., the focus should
be on investors, clients, and
the partners. The company needs
to maintain its repute by selling only the
finest products.
Conclusion
Conclusion
External social pressures may influence the ethics
of the organization. These include hiring
of the employees who aren’t ready to take risks and
too much pressure
from the markets. The changes in trend
and high-end requirements of the consumers may also be the challenging factors for the
company. In such circumstances, there is a strong need to keep a check
and balance as these issues may impact
negatively to the overall infrastructure
of the organization of not dealt with properly. When the risks
do not pay off, they take the
time to analyze what has gone wrong,
and how to resolve
the problems. A balance should be maintained with the legal and
ethical issues. Until Apple Inc. works in
accordance with government policies
and maintains its ethical values, there are lesser chances for
it to not survive years after years (Nesbit, 2011).
